New to auditioning?
You don’t have to know every theatre term to get started.
What should I have ready?
Many theatres ask for a headshot (a clear photo of you) and an acting résumé (your experience and training). Each audition lists exactly what that theatre requests. Only prepare the materials it asks for.
What is a self-tape?
A video of your audition that you record and send to the theatre. Follow the instructions for what to perform, how long it should be, and where to send it.
What happens after I apply?
The theatre may invite you to another audition, called a callback. Applying doesn’t guarantee a response or a role. Keep your own notes in My auditions.
